us push on after this challenging period”. Find out more about Lynda below!

Experience: I have been in the travel industry for over twenty years, twelve years in retail travel, four years in spectator sport travel, and five years in school sport travel.

Favourite sport – Netball and Football – I’m a big Arsenal fan!

Favourite Tour Destination – Too hard to choose. I enjoy listening to my customers to understand their needs and wants, and I then find the best possible options to suit them. Everyone is different and the best bit of the job for me is getting the right tour for each customer.

Favourite travel destination – I go to Spain a lot. My parents moved there twenty years ago so I regularly visit, and I enjoy exploring different parts of the country. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to various countries throughout my career. Travelling around Peru is a definite highlight, as well as the Inca Trail, it’s such a diverse country with so much to see. I equally enjoy a weekend away in the UK, I just love to explore.

Why I went into the industry – I love travel and the way that the new experiences impact the rest of your life. Working with young travellers means I am helping to give them experiences that they will remember for a lifetime.

A bit about me – I live in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and love early morning walks. I’ve been learning Spanish at night school for two years now. I’ve recently completely refurbished an old mill that I now live in with my husband Lee which has taught me a multitude of new skills. I do a bit of running; I’ve done the odd half marathon here and there, but I’m no Mo Farah! In my spare time I love to make things from old bits of wood or turn old things into new things!

Overall, I’m really excited to join the team at GB Sports. It’s incredibly difficult for teachers to plan ahead at the moment, but we all need to look to the future. When they’re ready, I’m ready!
