The Portugal Rugby Youth Festival is already established as one of the best International youth rugby festivals for club and school teams in Europe. Its excellent organization and standard of play make this one of the most prestigious rugby tournaments currently available in Europe over the Easter period. Available to U13, U15, U17 and U19 groups, the festival will take place over 7 pitches including one of the country´s most emblematic stadiums, the Jamor National Stadium.

Visit Estádio da Luz home to Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Benfica) which also served as the playing venue for the Euro 2004 final, or, alternatively visit Estádio José Alvalade home to bitter rivals Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting Lisbon). Groups will get the opportunity of a behind the scenes guided tour around either stadium visiting key areas including changing rooms, players tunnel, pitchside, museum and club shop.

Discover the beauty of Lisbon on a half-day trip that covers all of the city's highlights. Enjoy a walking tour of the Moorish Alfama quarter and learn interesting facts about the City from your guide as you wander through the neighborhood’s cobblestone streets and alleyways. Head to the Belém district to see the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries of Vasco da Gama. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jerónimos Monastery and take in views of the Tagus River and Europes longest suspension bridge.

Learn to Surf
Learn to Surf

Surf lessons take place in Carcavelos, Guincho and Praia Grande. Qualified instructors offer a 2hr structured surf lessons for all ages and skill levels. Each group will be taught ocean awareness, environmental awareness, basic pre-surf stretching exercises and, most important, safety. Suitable, safe surfing equipment and material is provided including surf board, wetsuit and full insurance with supervision at all times from qualified surf coaches/lifeguards.

The tournament provides 3, 4 or 5 night tour options. Please find below an example itinerary:

 

DAY 1.

Depart regional UK airport for flight to Lisbon

Arrive at Lisbon airport where you will be met by a GB Sports Tours representative

Transfer to accommodation and explore surroundings

Evening meal at accommodation

Opening event for teams and officials

 

DAY 2.

Breakfast at accommodation

First round & preliminary matches (3-4 matches)

Evening buffet meal at accommodation

 

DAY 3.

Breakfast at accommodation

All progression and finals will be played

Trophy presentation for all teams

Evening buffet meal at accommodation

 

DAY 4.

Breakfast at accommodation

Half day City tour and exploration of Parque das Nações and the Vasco de Gama shopping mall for last minute souvenirs

Transfer to Lisbon airport for flight back to UK
